Access to Inland Port
Forsyth County benefits from strong access to Georgia’s expanding inland-port infrastructure. The Blue Ridge Connector, a new 104-acre rail terminal being developed by the Georgia Ports Authority in nearby Hall County, will provide a direct rail link via Norfolk Southern to the Port of Savannah.

GA 400 serves as a vital economic and transportation corridor for Forsyth County. With multiple interchanges throughout the county, the corridor provides seamless north–south connectivity and direct access to key commercial, industrial, and residential areas.
Recent and ongoing improvements, including widening projects, new interchanges, and the addition of express lanes, continue to enhance mobility, reduce congestion, and support Forsyth County’s. These investments strengthen the county’s position as a premier destination for business and talent by ensuring efficient travel throughout the region and into Metro Atlanta.
Utilities
Forsyth County offers a comprehensive range of reliable utility services for both businesses and residents. Electricity is provided by Sawnee EMC and Georgia Power, while natural gas is available through certified gas marketers across Georgia. Water and sewer services are managed by Cumming Utilities and Forsyth County Water & Sewer. The county is also served by multiple telecommunications providers, offering competitive rates and high-speed connectivity, including AT&T, Verizon, Spectrum, and Comcast Business. Forsyth County is further strengthened by access to one of the largest and fastest-growing fiber networks in the Southeast, giving businesses the bandwidth and reliability they need to innovate and compete in a connected economy.
